The program’s selection process is rigorous. We consider academic credentials, research interests, previous research and writing experience, and leadership skills.
Fellowship candidates should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy or a related field before the start of the academic year for which they are applying. We will not accept candidates who do not complete their bachelor’s degrees. Candidates who are currently studying for or hold master’s or doctoral degrees will receive priority consideration. A strong background in quantitative research methods is preferred but not required.
Candidates must be able to read and write in Hebrew with ease. English reading skills are required, as professional literature and databases may be in English. English writing skills are preferable. Arabic writing, reading and speaking skills are a plus.
Our application form covers each candidate’s academic background, knowledge of professional software and standardized test scores. We also review each candidate’s writing samples, resume and reference letters. We place special emphasis on the applicant’s personal letter (essay). Although it is limited to only 500 words, we see it as a key component of a successful application. The application form will be available online during spring 2010.
