The Program
Every year, in a thorough and competitive selection process, we recruit up to 15 exceptional university graduates from diverse academic backgrounds including economics, finance, public policy, political science, law, urban planning, business and science. The fellows attend for a minimum of 10 months, with outstanding fellows given the option of a second term.

The fellows program is built on three core activities: training, internships, and research.

Training
Because we are training the future leadership of the state of Israel and providing research support to decision-makers, we place the utmost importance on training.
Fellows go through rigorous training during the year including:
  1. A graduate-level course developed by the Milken Institute focusing on financial innovation. The course is taught at the Hebrew University's School of Business Administration and is open to students from all Israeli universities. Click here to learn more about the course.
  2. Weekly training sessions led by Israeli and International policymakers, researchers and business leaders. Click here to view a partial list of past lectures.
  3. Presenting at and attending various conferences, events, and workshops, where they develop their professional network and presentation skills.
Internships
Each fellow is assigned to an official government ministry, statutory entity, government-owned company or legislator's office.
These full–time assignments are selected to coincide with each fellow's areas of interests and the Milken Institute's core areas of research.
Fellows spend at least four days a week at their internships.

Research
Fellows complete an annual research project on in Hebrew.
Early in their fellowships, fellows select research topics based on the Milken Institute Israel Center core research topics and the needs of the government entities where they intern.
Each research project is supervised by a team of academics and professionals. All final papers are available online. Click here to read fellows' research papers.
